Blake's Garage Sale. 14-year-old Blake organized an Oklahoma city-wide garage sale,
netting over $20,000! The entire city joined Blake in helping to raise money for the children and families of the 9/11 tragedy: a large radio program broadcast their show from the
site of the garage sale; the Mayor of Oklahoma City dropped by; an armored truck with
2 armed guards watched over the money; the city's larges news radio station
and 2 television stations reported live from Blakes' Garage Sale. Way to go, Blake!
Four-year-old Ella wanted to help the children who lost parents due to the September 11, 2001 tragedy. She, with the help of her parents, decided to make buttons; some with a personal message to the families in New York and DC, and some for trading for donations.
Ella has raised nearly $2,000!
Beardsley Junior High School, in Bakersfield, CA raised over $15,500 through a variety of fundraising activities, including walk-a-thons and penny-drives.
It is of special note that the district of this Junior High school has a population of only 1,500 people, which means every single person in that district donated more than $ 10.00.

Gilford Elementary School students raised over $1,000 by holding a used book and bake sale to raise money. Thank you, Gilford Elementary School Students!
3rd - 8th grade students at Chapman School In Anchor Point, Alaska made and raffled a beautiful quilt -- called "Stars and Stripes Forever" -- and raised $579! Thank you, Students!
VOENA - Voices of Eve 'N Angels, a multicultural professional childrens' choir, along with other guest choirs and musicians, hosted a "Prayer of the Children" benefit concert to raise funds for the Twin Towers Orphans Fund. The event raised a little more than $4,000. Thank you, VOENA.
Michigan youngsters
made friendship bracelets in patriotic colors.
Half of the bracelets stay in Michigan and half will go to New York;
Each New Yorker who receives a bracelet will have a "friend" in Michigan
wearing a similar bracelet who is thinking of them and praying for them.
Phoenix, Arizona's Deer Valley High School students
designed, printed, and sold postcards bearing a "We Love New York" logo, and each postcard has a personal message to
families, firefighters, and residents of New York.
More than $5,000 from Bakersfield, CA area highschools
September 14, 2001 -- nearly 1,000 students from Bakersfield held a candlelight service, which was marked
by speeches from students and local religious leaders. These kids donated the
money they would have spent at the football game that night to Twin Towers Orphan Fund.
Florin Elementary School In Sacramento, CA donated $ 104.00 to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund.
Lincoln Jr. High School, in Taft, CA raised $ 688.83 in a penny drive!
Nine year old Dana wanted to help. She sold Halloween candy for $.25. Piece by piece, Dana raised nearly $25. We are touched by her huge, generous heart.
A Pennsylvanian youngster is making flag pin to raise money "for kids who lost their Moms or Dads." She has raised $100 so far! One person CAN make a difference.

19 Third-Graders from Sacred Heart School in Wadsworth, OH raised $ 1,142.00, by making and selling beautiful patriotic t-shirts, bead rosaries, bookmarks and bead pins. Thank you!
13 year old Michael Kowatczyk and friends wrote and performed a play called The Wizard of Oz: The Halloween Special. The "Not Quite Ready for Broadway Players" raised $150 for their performance. Thank you!
The Student Council Dance-A-Thon was a smashing success! We had 100% participation from all students in grades 3, 4 & 5 at the Parsons Memorial Elementary School in Harrison, New York. The students asked parents, friends and relatives to sponsor them for the 2 hour Dance-A-Thon. Together they raised $3500.00!!! Thank You!
Danielle made "worry dolls" from paper clips and fabric scraps, attached a poem, named each one and sold them at her school carnival. She also sold "dream charms" that she hand painted. A contribution of $37.25 was made by Danielle, a first grader from Buffalo Grove, Illinois, to help the children who lost a parent in the 911 tragedy. Thank You!
2nd graders at Bethany School in Reidsville, North Carolina held a flower sale on Valentine's Day and raised $57.50 to donate to TTOF. They worked very hard to make and deliver 115 paper carnations! TTOF truly appreciates their efforts and kindness. Thank You!
Tabitha organized a penny drive at her elementary school, wishing to help the children who have the lost their families. She raised $1171.35. Thank you, Tabitha!
The students of a small international school on the Island of Malta in the
Mediterranean went on a sponsored walk to raise funds on behalf of the victims of the 11th september tragedy. They collected a little over Lm500 which is about $1100! Thank You!
As their way of helping the children, 8 year-old twins Michelle and Marieke and their best friend Gabrielle, sold lemonaide and cookies.
